This week was another great one and this one is going to be even
better! We have been working with a less active woman from El Salvador
who has recently been re activated and preparing to go to the temple
to do baptisms for the first time. It's been really special to be
right by her side helping her get there. We were able to do her family
history for her and get her parents, husband and sisters names ready
to bring to the temple and do their work! It was such a cool
experience, it was my first time actually DOING family history work!
We will go to the temple with her on Friday, I'm so excited for her.
:) we had a lot a lot of meetings this week! Like at least 13 hours of
them. As sister training leaders we have been giving a lot of
workshops in meetings...I have never loved talking in front of people
and I still don't but my goal is to get better at it and not be
nervous because I was called for a reason! But I'm super grateful for
them, boy have I learned a lot and my testimony just keeps getting
stronger and stronger. I wish I could express it in words! The work is
hastening here in New York and president calderwood is so inspired,
The Lord is literally here with us making it all happen. We were so
pumped as we got out of leaders meeting and had just been blessed with
finding the pure in heart here. We had to run to the store and there, is where we
were looking for some products and Angel the store manager says, "hi
sisters!" We both just kinda paused like what who knows us?? Turns out
he is a member but hasn't been back to church in years. He lives in
the Bronx but asked us if we could get him a Book of Mormon someway.
His wife is in the Dominican and isn't a member. (Yet) :) it was such
a testimony to see the blessings coming immediately as we are obedient
and faithful. Some other little miracles....
| cause we're happy...! |
• a Korean lady grabbed my hand on the bus and asked me if I was
Christian and we exchanged information. :) she was adorable.
• our exchange was inspired and the sister was very grateful!
• I did a whole week without flour and survived. ;)
• and just a funny little sign we saw in flushing- "we fax hear". Yes,
spelt like that. I swear I'm not In America sometimes. So funny.
Stay strong! Heavenly Father loves you! Live the gospel!
Talk to you in 6 days!!!!
I love you all, you're the greatest.
